True character is shaped not by grand gestures but by the small, everyday actions that define how we live and interact with others. By the time the defining moment arrives, character is already largely settled. What happens under pressure is a revelation, not a construction.

The habits of listening, of charitable interpretation, of willingness to be persuaded, these are daily disciplines that either form us toward flourishing or quietly close that possibility, depending on whether we practice them or merely admire them from a distance.
